Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me in finding out how to accept a full payment for 6 months upfront? It seems like AirBnB only allows monthly payments.
Thanks for any advice!
Aletta
AirBnB will release payments to you in monthly instalments - you can accept the booking and they will collect payment on your behalf and release it to you every month
Unfortunately, this is not an option within Airbnb. As the other poster said, they will collect payment monthly and send it to you.
The payment goes into the airbnb "escrow" account. It's there, but paid out monthly. This protects both parties, don't you think? Anyway, you've already agreed to these terms by checking the form.
I don't believe the entire 6 month payment is taken from the guest in one fell swoop. The first month is taken and then the guest's card is charged each month on the 1st. There have been multiple stories on these boards about Airbnb being unable to obtain subsequent funds from the guest's card and the host wondering what to do.
Thanks for your wisdom. I think I'm getting a clearer picture now.
Sorry @Debby-And-Kevin0, just wanted to clear up with you that this is not true and they pay monthly - no escrow.

I stand corrected. Was trying to use my limited common sense. I have never done any long-term rentals through airbnb, and don't book a guest for over 28 days. Too many stories of people moving in and the host having a hard time moving them out. Thanks for educating me!
