I want to be more efficient in increasing the bottom line, so now I am considering either raising my cleaning fee - which at $25 is low for a two bedroom townhouse - or increasing the minimum stay to 2 days. Any insights?
Personally @Bill352, I won’t do one night stays for my two bedroom entire suite. I’d go nuts as there is too much cleaning required, and I’m the cleaner!
I have been three nights minimum, but currently have a minimum of a two night stay.
For me and my life balance, it is not cost effective to have one nighters. Also, for me, one nighters are more likely to be locals who may want to use the larger space to party, or treat the larger space as a hotel, without taking on some of the community expectations and requirements.
My cleaning fee really is a supplies cost, not a time cost. I have plenty of linen, but the wear and tear of laundering daily reduces the life usage of the linens. I hope you find your balance....
