A guest wrote just a "-" as a review! This now shows up publicly on my listing. I don't want potential gusts to think that this dash means something about my space, or me, like an Airbnb code for something. I would like the review to be removed from my listing! There should be a mimimum number of charaters that need to be submitted when writing reviews to avoid people doing this.
Maybe just a dash in a review does have some code meaning? I have been hosting for a year and have never seen this?
I think most readers will realize it means, as it probably does, they just didn't use the platform quite right and wanted to leave you a star rating and not a text review; you can't remove it, but you can (and should) respond to it with a public note of your own.
I just wrote a review for a place I stayed at, and noticed that I had the ability to edit the review. In fact I did change a few things. Assuming the "-" is still in the 14 day window, and I guess depending on your relationship with the guest, one thing to do could just be contact them and see if that is what they meant to submit?
That is a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
