Concern re potential unwarranted, negative review

If I DON’T write a review for a complaining and uncommunicative guest, will his (likely negative ) review be published?

Yes. It will take 14 days if you dont leave one of them, but in the end, guest's review will get published. You not writing one does not block it.

@Julie3990 If the guest writes one, you cannot prevent the review from showing on your listing.

Please leave a review for this guest, so future hosts know what to expect. You can be brief, factual and professional, without being inflammatory. We all benefit from each other’s honest reviews.

You have the option to rebut the guest review with a response, which will appear under their review of you. Your future guests will read this and it will help them decide whether to book with you or not. As such, be careful with your wording.

But if you write one, don't write one until the end of the 14 days @Julie3990.  Only because you want your profile free of his negative review for as long as possible to let other bookings come in and other reviews post.  Then, by the time his posts, it will be buried by more recent and more positive reviews.
