Please take a look at our listing and try and explain this guest
Guests arrive.
Have you got dogs, I have asthma, I am allergic to dogs?
Yes we have three, as in the listing and as in the reply you get when you book that we have dogs and saying if you don't like dogs then this is not the place for you.
I think we say several times that we have dogs, and there are pictures of them in the listing. Pictures and writing. Writing saying dogs, and pictures of actual dogs. these ones.
But just in case you missed any of that, yes we have dogs and we told you this in the massage.
Did you read the message.... oh never mind ...
Can we use your kitchen?
No. read the listing.
Where can we eat?
Read the listing.
This year they walk among us.....

Survival of the dumbest. “Civilized Society” has managed to conquer Darwinism!
(But the cost is astronomical.)

@Kevin1322 That's even better than the guest who complained to you that your non-slip tile floors should be shiny.
Honestly, some psychologists should do a scientific study of what the pandemic has done to people's brains. They talk about it making people depressed, anxious, all sorts of mental and emotional states, but it also seems to have made a whole lot of people actually stupider. Way stupid.
How on earth could anyone look at your ad and miss the fact of your dogs? Even if they didn't read anything. Did they think you just include photos of dogs because you like dogs?
Airbnbs "verifications" are basically useless, but IQ level of guests would be valuable vetting info 🙂

@Sarah977 @Kevin1322 we should really include a few intelligence tests in our listing description. Only those who are able to resolve the test are allowed to book 😄 ( I suppose our calendar would be empty haha)
I feel your pain.... our apartment is on the ground floor and we tell all our guests at arrival to please close all windows during the night and when they are not present to prevent burglary. We have it in our house manual, our house rules, in check-out instructions and we also have a note on the window seal. But, we still find open windows after check-out sometimes. And, of course, there are guests who complain about "too many notes and instructions" bc they are on vacation and don't need it 😄
I feel like a big mama ...

@Kevin1322 I was requiring people to mention my dog's name in their initial request.

@Anonymous These guests of Kevin's would probably call you by the dog's name when they arrived.

We've had our fair share of "not bright" guests, but between you and @Laura2592 we can't even begin to compete for this trophy.

I thought I might be in the running for @Elaine701 's trophy last week, @Kevin1322 , when a guest asked me where to plug in her CPAP machine in our remote, no-electricity-for-miles treehouse.
I googled "CPAP machine". Yikes! Guest could die without it!
But when I replied, "Oh dear! Let's get you cancelled and booked into a place that has electricity!" she said no, that she "should be ok".
I didn't think anyone who expected to plug something in when backcountry camping would be ok on any level, but she was. No bodies in the bed after checkout.
Unrelated to anything except your last sentence, Kevin, I used to listen to a UK crime podcast called They Walk Among Us while cleaning the treehouse, all by myself in the woods. It hardly scared the absolute daylights out of me at all.

This made me laugh so hard. They Walk Among Us is the funniest description ever. We should adopt it. And for reviews we should post "TWAS an interesting stay" to alert other hosts 🙂
