Hello everyone 😊,
I hope you’re having a great week!
Hosting guests who travel for work offers unique opportunities and challenges. These guests often value comfort, convenience, and a quiet environment where they can relax after a busy day.
Providing reliable Wi-Fi or a dedicated workspace can make a huge difference. Thoughtful touches like a coffee station or local restaurant recommendations also enhance their stay.
What’s your top tip for hosting guests traveling for work?
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Elisa 🌻

Thank you so much, Eliza! 😊 When guests ask for suggestions, I love recommending places like Boston, Salem, and Danvers. There are also plenty of great restaurants, attractions, and fun activities nearby. It’s always a joy to help them discover and enjoy the area!
Hi Elisa, these are some of the items we provide at our apartment
High-speed, reliable internet
Dedicated workspace, A comfortable chair, a proper desk, and good desk lighting
We have provided a monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse so guests can plug in and work as they would at home and Windows 11 desktop computer.
A color printer/scanner with basic supplies (paper, ink)
Charging cables, spare adapters
Let guests know about nearby cafés, co-working spaces, or printing shops—just in case they need an alternative.
Hi @Ari2 😊,
Thank you for sharing your top tips here.
That’s really kind of you to provide the monitor. 😍 Do your guests use it often?

Hi @Elisa
We do have a quiet terrace in Makati City, a fast Wi-Fi connection, and a table and chair for WFH.
We received one guest who told us that the terrace is the ideal place to hold their video meetings, so yes, we are part of the business traveler community.
Thank you and MABUHAY!

Hi @Andres644 😊,
Thank you for joining the conversation.
What a nice idea to offer a terrace as a workspace!
How is the weather generally where you’re hosting?
-----
Hey @Elisa
Thanks for getting back to me.
We're in a tropical country, so except for the monsoon, the weather is sunny and hot, so if you like to work with this kind of weather, our Rooftop is for you. 😃
Have a nice day!
Andres
Hi @Andres644 😊,
Thank you for the kind reply.
That’s marvellous. When is the monsoon period usually?

I actually learned a few things from guests that shared what they were looking for while on a job in the area.
Taking their lead, I then rearranged pics on my listing to showcase in different rooms where a workspace can pop up. I have excellent WiFi even outside on the veranda with a Mountain View. Also some folks want a space to relax after a long day , so show your jacuzzi or pool and premium bathing products . Well stocked premium coffee and tea nook. I sourced large 38 oz Italian glass bottles restaurants use and made custom labels describing my endless clean water R/O , ground aquifer water from our well.
I spend about $20 on each guest with a welcome tray sourced for them with healthy snacks they can take on the go.
I get repeated comments about the little things that make their stay great! So think about the little things like small candy dishes with Hershey kisses or starburst in a few places.
Hi @Caroline3059 😊,
Thank you for sharing such a great point of view!
The bottles of water are so inspiring. 😍
Why did you choose the one from Italy? I’m really curious.

Amazon $17 @Elisa . A bottle.
they look like the bottles used at a lot of nice restaurant to pour tap water .
my home made label makes it special to the town and area .
I had one guest take it home thinking it was part of welcome goodies .. lol. 😂. I didn’t charge we laughed about it then I added a “this is not a gift” to the label
Hi @Caroline3059 😊,
Thank you for letting me know!
That’s such a great job you did for your guests. Have they said anything about it?
Do you have a picture of the homemade label? It would be wonderful to see it. 😍

Hi @Elisa ,
A place to park a horse trailer! A spot to 'tune' racing skis! A place to hang skis! A safe place to park an expensive racing bikes! A place for gear! Our heated garage turns into a highly relevant amenity that allows us to help address these ideas.
Guests who are traveling to Lake Placid New York for work include coaches who have teams or athletes participating in a local sporting event or to train their athletes. They also need excellent WIFI and a place to sit with their laptop.
So our working guests are a little different but also need the standard desk, internet, etc.
We also get the 'work from home' version of travelers and we have lots of great places to take a zoom call or get after email. This works well for all of the above obviously and includes: a desk with an office chair, monitor and view on the main floor; another desk in a bedroom to shut the door; and a third desk in the loft.
Happy traveling!
Hi @Greystone0 😊,
Thank you for joining the conversation.
That’s funny, ahah!
Do you welcome many guests who work at the same time?
What was the most unusual request you’ve received from them?
Happy hosting!

Hi @Debra180 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
That’s a fantastic idea. Do you include everything in a welcome book, or do you present it to your guests in person?
