How does a refund work?

I recently allowed a guest that was planning to stay 2 weeks to cancel after 2 nights and receiving the payout.   The refund is $1500+.   I cannot find any information on the refund policy.   I assume that Airbnb cannot request the funds back from my bank.

Will the dollars be deducted from future payouts?
