No support customer support client support unsupported support

Been trying to contact someone for 4 days since I created the account . No one at Airbnb is able to help . I have a newer account looking to book but booking fails. I was hoping to get a room to stay but failed to create a reservation after the 3rd attempt to pay using a credit card (since have plugged in credit, debit, Apple , PayPal , gift card). It started when I was not able  to complete third party (PLAID or something connected to the app backend)  looking to log me into my credit card account over at citi  at checkout. As per instructions of the rep that is not required so just reject or not continue . But somehow not it’s been 4 days now and even with a Airbnb GIFTCARD  from Walmart (desperate attempt) to pay it shows the account credited the exact balance and accepted the gift card. So there is a credit posted on my account with a balance of zero owed on CHECK OUT BUT unable to reserve or whatever the terminology is . 

 

 

been ping ponged around like a football for 4 days . Ready to pull my hair out. There is no supervisor and no staff available who’s willing to take on the challenge to resolve the issue. It’s a jungle of representatives but no resolution. They know there’s no cookie for attempting difficult resolutions. One created the ticket the other closes it as they please . Some say I am connecting you to a supervisor who will call you immediately and now after calling and hearing the same things 7 times in th past 4 days of attempting to book daily I am giving up on airbnb .What a BS. Give them all your personal information including your credit cards, names, telephones, locations, images, so they can play around with data as they please. What a tourture . If you complain they find an excuse to block or humiliate . Running facial software to AI to credit card meta data . YET NO SERVICE !!!!! 

 

 

What a trip. Feel like same group of customer support for Uber . Maybe it’s just one call center and same staff and us here on the states pulling our hair out . 
At least customer service over at Philippines is polite and somewhat caring. I think they just don’t have a resolution. But also have no guidance on how to escalate or resolve the issue. What a disappointment . No such thing as customer service now a days.

It's been a while since you posted and I'm wondering whether you managed to get a resolution to your question? It'd be great to hear from you, so we can understand what the resolution was but also to support other guests/hosts who may have similar questions in the future. 😊
