Hello everyone 😊,
I hope you’re having a great week!
Hosting guests who travel for work offers unique opportunities and challenges. These guests often value comfort, convenience, and a quiet environment where they can relax after a busy day.
Providing reliable Wi-Fi or a dedicated workspace can make a huge difference. Thoughtful touches like a coffee station or local restaurant recommendations also enhance their stay.
What’s your top tip for hosting guests traveling for work?
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Elisa 🌻

Hi @Dani12527 😊,
Thank you for joining the conversation!
Do you have this internet speed at your property?
-----
@Elisa I do have a high speed package with my provider, but I am unsure if it's the highest speed available. With peoples various needs and desired speeds it's not a one-size-fits-all opportunity so I can not say if it is fast enough for everyone. My only guest complaint is that I didn't have last June's European Football Championship game available at my flat for the guest to watch. 🤪😆
...hard to please everyone, right?
Hi @Dani12527 😊,
Thank you so much for letting me know!
I totally understand your point. I recommend connecting with local hosts in your area and asking if they know of a better option. 👉 Local Host Clubs.
Let me know how it goes!

“My top tip for hosting guests traveling for work is to provide a comfortable workspace with a proper desk and chair, along with fast and reliable Wi-Fi. A calm, organized environment makes it easier for them to focus and be productive during their stay.”
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
These are definitely good tips.
Does it happen often that you welcome many guests who work from home?
-----
No, most of our guests come for vacation, exploring the area and visiting family. It’s always a pleasure to help them enjoy their time here. 😊
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
thank you for your nice reply!
That’s so lovely. What do you usually recommend they visit?
-----
Thank you so much, Eliza! 😊 When guests ask for suggestions, I love recommending places like Boston, Salem, and Danvers. There are also plenty of great restaurants, attractions, and fun activities nearby. It’s always a joy to help them discover and enjoy the area!
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
That’s so kind of you!
What about your city, are there any museums to visit?
-----
@Elisa That’s so sweet of you! 🌸
When we host guests from Canada or anywhere else,
we usually recommend visiting Boston’s Freedom Trail, Quincy Market, and the Boston Common — they’re always a hit! If they enjoy nature, Merrimack River trails and Horn Pond are beautiful spots nearby. 🏞️
For something a bit more unique, I also suggest checking out Salem for its charming history or taking a short drive to Rockport — the views are breathtaking! 🌊✨
How about you? Do you also give your guests local tips?
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
Thank you for letting me know!
I’m a Community Manager here, not hosting myself.
But if I ever do, I’ll definitely share lots of tips. 😊
Do you also spend time hiking in your free time?
-----
Yes, I love hiking! 😊 I also do a lot of walking in my free time — it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and enjoy nature.
That's marvellous, I get the feeling! 😍
It happens that you go with your guests sometimes?
-----
Hi Elisa, these are some of the items we provide at our apartment
High-speed, reliable internet
Dedicated workspace, A comfortable chair, a proper desk, and good desk lighting
We have provided a monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse so guests can plug in and work as they would at home and Windows 11 desktop computer.
