I can't send an Accept message to an enquirer because the Accept/Decline button on the site does not seem to be responding - I can only send a message saying I accept, but this doesn't count as a proper acceptance. I've turned on Instant Book hoping the enquirer will use it to overcome this problem. Thanks.

same here. since a week the button doesn't work.
i tried all proposed solutions (different browsers, delete cache and cookies, workarounds mentioned in the forum here etc.) which didn't work. called 2 times the support. they opened a case and closed it after 3 days without resolving it. i think they are aware but don't care. it's a shame since they earn money from us, therefore they should use it to maintain their website.

This thread goes back three years, and yet the same problem persists. I can't decline an offer, the button won't work. Seems like a pretty basic functionality thing to have in place for site users. Why the multi-year ongoing issue?

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty with declining booking requests. This thread was originally started several years ago now and that was resolved, so I think this might be slightly different to that.
I want you to know I have also passed the information you have shared here regarding this on to the team, to look into this further. So it is really helpful you have shared this here.
Just to check, as most of you have mentioned it is just an issue with the 'decline' button, are you also experiencing this with the 'accept'?
Thanks Daniel for sharing above that you were able to get this to work whilst using the Airbnb app.
Perhaps in the mean time you could see if this way might work for you. If not, I would recommend contacting our Support Team directly, as they should be able to help assist with declining the booking, if needed. Here is a useful Community Guide on how to reach them.

I am still having this problem today. I really don't want to mess up my response rate. Has there been any solution? Please help!
I'm also unable to accept new reservations. I called, chatted, texted with support, tried everything in the thread above and that was suggested to me by support staff. After spending hours trying everything, their response to me was "Try again every few hours and probably it will work at some point" and they immediately closed the ticket. What are we supposed to do if we can't accept bookings and no one wants to help? They won't even leave the ticket open for some reason. In a few hours I will lose the booking, but they don't seem to care.

Hi Lizzie, yes, all methods of accepting seem to be broken. I just want to confirm it's not something on your end at this point. Is there some kind of maintenance or something going on at Airbnb? And is there a way for hosts to check this on our own?
Can anyone help. I have accepted guests and sent 2 messages. But email says reservation still pending.
I pressed the accept button many times it's not working. I too went onto instant booking.
4 years after these posts, i have the same problem.I have clicked "accept" a dozen times today, to accept a booking. Nothing happens, and airbnb keeps on sending reminders "you only have 6hours to reply to this query........."
Any idea what to do?.... Jake Williams
