Hello everyone 😊,
I hope you’re having a great week!
Hosting guests who travel for work offers unique opportunities and challenges. These guests often value comfort, convenience, and a quiet environment where they can relax after a busy day.
Providing reliable Wi-Fi or a dedicated workspace can make a huge difference. Thoughtful touches like a coffee station or local restaurant recommendations also enhance their stay.
What’s your top tip for hosting guests traveling for work?
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Elisa 🌻

Hi @Bianca927 😊,
It’s lovely to hear from you here.
That’s fantastic! 😍
Do you happen to have a picture to share? It would be wonderful to see the workspace.

So far all my guests have been leisure travelers, I wouldn't know what to advice for business travelers, sorry
Hi @Alfredo757 😊,
Thank you so much for sharing this here anyway.
What about you, do you usually travel for work?
-----
I have the fastest internet that my provider offers, but I also work from home.
I have a desk and an office chair in my guest room. However, I also have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, laptop holder, and desk lamp that I keep in the closet. That way, it won't be in the way for people who don't travel for work. But those who do love that I offer those things.

Hi @Casey464 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
Do you work from home full time?
You have such a great setup! Do you have many guests who come for work?
-----
Yes, I work from home full-time @Elisa. I'm self-employed.
I would say I get more guests here for vacation. I live in one of the world's vacation capitals (Orlando)!
I have one guest who is a regular, as he travels across the state for work. I also get guests who are in the process of moving to or from the city. I have a guest now who was supposed to move into his condo on Tuesday but it wasn't ready. So he extended his reservation through Saturday. He worked a few days from home but went to the office today.
Hi @Casey464 😊,
That’s fantastic!
Do you enjoy working from home? How long have you been doing it this way?
-----
Hi Elisa, and everyone... For remote workers, the question I am asked most is about my internet's speed. The few I have interacted with prioritize having access to an unfailing, quick, internet even more-so than having a designated 'work' space.
Hi @Dani12527 😊,
Thank you for joining the conversation!
Do you have this internet speed at your property?
-----
@Elisa I do have a high speed package with my provider, but I am unsure if it's the highest speed available. With peoples various needs and desired speeds it's not a one-size-fits-all opportunity so I can not say if it is fast enough for everyone. My only guest complaint is that I didn't have last June's European Football Championship game available at my flat for the guest to watch. 🤪😆
...hard to please everyone, right?
Hi @Dani12527 😊,
Thank you so much for letting me know!
I totally understand your point. I recommend connecting with local hosts in your area and asking if they know of a better option. 👉 Local Host Clubs.
Let me know how it goes!

“My top tip for hosting guests traveling for work is to provide a comfortable workspace with a proper desk and chair, along with fast and reliable Wi-Fi. A calm, organized environment makes it easier for them to focus and be productive during their stay.”
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
These are definitely good tips.
Does it happen often that you welcome many guests who work from home?
-----
No, most of our guests come for vacation, exploring the area and visiting family. It’s always a pleasure to help them enjoy their time here. 😊
Hi @Dinamarta-Jose0 😊,
thank you for your nice reply!
That’s so lovely. What do you usually recommend they visit?
